CBL Sound and Body Studio
Therapeutic Massage, Sound & Relaxation

About Me

My name is Christopher Frank, and I’m a licensed massage therapist, musician, and Navy veteran based in Brunswick, Maine. I’ve spent more than a decade exploring how movement, posture, sound, and creativity affect the nervous system, studying approaches like the Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais work, and the Gokhale Method alongside formal massage training. CBL Sound and Body Studio is where all of that comes together: therapeutic massage, technodelic sound experiences, and practical tools for self‑care.

In session, you won’t be locked into a single “style.” I draw from Swedish and deep tissue massage, cupping (silicone and machine), instrument‑assisted soft tissue work (IASTM/scraping/Gua Sha/bamboo), foot reflexology, gentle lymphatic massage techniques, joint mobilization, aromatherapy, and both Usui and Kundalini‑inspired Reiki, always within your comfort and goals. For tech‑minded clients, I also offer vibroacoustic and “technodelic” sessions using tools like RX1, SoundSelf, and a sound‑capable table to support deep relaxation and body awareness, one component at a time.

I’m the founder and president of VetTune.org – a nonprofit whose mission is to empower Veterans, their dependents, caregivers, and survivors to inspire themselves through creative expression and comprehensive self‑care. Through VetTune, we help veterans access music, creative arts, and holistic wellness options such as vibroacoustic therapy and other innovative modalities as part of a broader community‑healing network. CBL Sound and Body Studio is one of the ways that mission shows up locally, giving veterans and civilians a place to explore body‑based and sound‑based support.

As a veteran myself and former C‑130 aircraft mechanic stationed in Brunswick, I’m committed to making care accessible for other veterans. I’ve applied to join the VA’s Optum Community Care Network so that, once approved, eligible veterans can receive massage therapy here with their care covered by VA community care benefits; if you’re a veteran and want to learn more about that process, please reach out through the Contact page.

Outside the studio, I own Pine State Pedals, a local e‑bike shop “electrifying Maine,” and stay active as a working musician. All of these projects share the same aim: building spaces where people feel safe, curious, and supported while they experiment with new ways of feeling better in their bodies and lives.
